Captain Angelo Mathews cracked 78 runs in the last match against Galle. He was looking to get some form back and he would look to give another excellent batting performance down the order. These two will be required to make some runs and give a solid openening stand.

Kandy Team
Kandy are also in a similar situation like Dambulla as they also have lost both their matches. In the 1st match their batsmen got out at just 99 runs while chasing 255 runs against Galle. In the 2nd match against Colombo, despite having some good batting display by batsmen like Dimuth Karunaratne (c), Sangeeth Cooray and Pathum Nissanka, they were not able to chase 289 runs and ended up losing the 2nd match continuous match. These batsmen need to be in prime touch with the bat if Kandy team has to get a win in this match against Dambulla.
Kasun Rajitha and Jeffrey Vandersay have taken some wickets for Kandy in the 2 matches. These two need to strike back at regular intervals. Nuwan Pradeep has been wicketless so far. If too get some wickets, then it definitely strengthen team bowling attack.
