Spain will be hosting first ever T20 Cricket tournament which will consist of three teams Spain, Malta and Estonia XI. This tournament will be played from 29 April to 1 May 2022 at esert Springs Cricket Ground, Almeria
All these teams will be playing first time with international status.
ICC Chief Executive David Richardson in April 2018 announced that all matches played between the associate members of ICC will get the international status. So the matches of Spain Triangular T20 Series will also be considered as the international matches.
Estonia will be featuring in the first ever international T20 series and they will be playing their 1st major Cricket tournament after winning round-robin ICC competition in 2012.
All three teams have some good players who will be gearing up for showcasing their batting and bowling skills in the tournament. Although these teams are short on competitive cricket but they will be excited for this international exposure.
Total 9 matches will be played in this tournament and each team will be playing 3 matches with other team.
