Royal Challengers Bangalore have announced a 24 member squad for IPL 2019. Playing again under the captaincy of Virat Kohli; RCB will be looking to change the things in IPL 2019, as they didn’t had a great IPL 2019 season. They had just 6 wins in 14 league mathces and were not able to make places in playoffs of last season.
RCB have retained 15 players and release 6 players. Quinton de Kock, Mandeep Singh, Chris Woakes, Sarfraz Khan, Brendon McCullum and Corey Anderson are the players who have been release by RCB.
Much of the team’s expectations will be from Captain Virat Kohli and AB de Villiers.
The team has purchased Shemron Hetyer at a high price of 4.5 Crores and a lot will depend on him also in the IPL 2019.
Heinrich Klaasen was bought at a price of 50 Lakh. Although Klaasen was not able to make an impact in his debut last year with Rajasthan Royals, but he will be eager to get some runs for RCB this time.
Parthiv Patel and Yuzvendra Chahal can also do a good job with bat and ball respectively.
