Womens T20 Challange 2020 Schedule, Teams, Squad and Players List

The third edition of Womens T20 Challenge which started in 2018 by BCCI will begin from 4th November . The tournament will run for 6 days and the final will be played on 9th November.

Like previous 2 seasons there be three teams in the tournament and a total of only 4 matches will be played including Final. All matches will be played at Sharjah, UAE.

The three teams that will play for the 2020 season are:

• Supernovas
• Velocity
• Trailblazers

BCCI has recently announced the captains for these three teams and they are:

• Supernovas – Harmanpreet Kaur
• Trailblazers – Smriti Mandhana
• Velocity – Mithali Raj

Top Indian players from the international Women’s team will be part of the Womens T20 Challenge. Apart from the top Indian players some best players from women teams of South Africa, West Indies, England, Bangladesh and New Zealand will also feature in this 4 match tournament.

Another important thing to notice about Womens T20 Challenge is that, Nattakan Chantam from Thailand will be the first Thailand Women player who will be the part of this year tournament. She is coming from good form and hit a first fifty for his country’s women team. The 2019 season final was played between Supernovas and Velocity which Supernovas won by 4 wickets. The first match of 2020 season will be played between these two teams on 04 November and the live action of the match will begin at 7:30 PM IST.

BCCI has also named the Vice Captains of the three teams. Jemimah Rodrigues will be the Vice Captain for Supernovas, Deepti Sharma for Trailblazers and Veda Krishnamurthy for Velocity.

Some top foreign players participating in Womens T20 Challenge are, Chamari Athapaththu from Sri Lanka, Sophie Ecclestone from England and Sune Luus from South Africa.
